Can't be beat February 7, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
having previuously owned the Jet and Powermatic equivalents, I rate the Grizzly equal to them . I am a professional woodworker (20 years). The fence works great, there is plenty of power, and it came set up almost perfectly. The only complaints would be that the blade locking handle loosens up and falls off occasionally, and the nut that holds the balde on is a little wimpy compared to other brands.

The saw arrived in perfect condition. Customer service was the best I've delt with and I didn't have to wait 20 minutes to talk to someone.
My saw arrived with some extra parts: An extra cast iron wing and an extra leg set. I couldn't be happier as I'll use both.
The fence directions are not correct for this saw. Do not attach the legs directly to the rails. They get attached to the bottom of the wooden table. Also note that there are two pilot holes on the underside of the table sides. These are for the leg bracket that goes on a diagonal. Make sure these holes are on the outter edge of the table.
To clean the gunk off the table just scrape as much as you can off then scrub with WD-40 and a scotch bright pad. A palm sander works great just put it right on the pad and go to town.
The fence is great. You won't believe just how heavy the box with rails is.
Fit and finish is really great too. If I had bought the Unisaw then seen this in person I would have been pissed. This really is a great value.
I'm not getting into detail on the splitter/blade gaurd, but I will recommend upgrading to an aftermarket snap in splitter.
For those who have never owned a cabinet saw...you will grin ear to ear when you fire this thing up. I haven't done much more than some test cuts but here's what I found. My last saw was a 1-1/2 hp contractor. To rip through 2" stock such as oak or maple I really had to use a 24 tooth rip blade, with a combo it would really bog down and sometimes trip it's overload. So my first cuts were 2" oak and maple with a 50 tooth combo (freud) blade. I don't think the saw even realized I was cutting anything. 3hp is a lot.
Like most people say...I wish I had bought this saw first. If I had put the $700 - $800 I've spent on other saws towards even the base model of this saw I'd only cost a few hunred more to have a saw that will never need replacing.
Grizzly does it right July 12, 2005 32 out of 34 found this review helpful
I upgraded from a contractor style tablesaw after five years of continual use. I shopped for several months and because of price decided on the Grizzly. I was concerned with the "made in Tawain" issue, wanting to keep my dollars here in the USA. But I was able to keep $500 more of those dollars in my pocket by choosing the Grizzly! What a great saw. I picked it up at the freight company three days after ordering it and brought it home. I unloaded it from the back of my truck using an engine hoist. Within two hours I had it assembled. Very little adjustment was needed. The saw and fence work beautifully. No complaints at all. I own a small (I am the only employee) cabinet shop and I cut 3/4" 4'x8' panels all the time with no problem. I also build furniture and this saw easily goes through 2" red oak and mesquite! If you need a good hard working saw and are on a budget this saw is the one.
Sorry Delta and Powermatic!
