Other features include a rigid channel, cast-iron frame with a heavy column to provide perfect alignment and consistent accuracy, and precision indexing with positive stops for 90- and 45-degree miter cuts. The saw's truck rods feature glass-smooth hardened surfaces to minimize rolling friction and can be rotated 180 degrees for a new bearing surface.
